We are almost in March and that means spring-cleaning! I am cleaning my house inside and out and on top of that I am going to buy new furniture. I do not know whether I want classic or modern designer furniture. I am now browsing the web for days and found a lot of sites for classic furniture and even more designer furniture at FASHION FOR HOME. Maybe I should combine it and get a little bit of both. I really like the idea to buy one of these chaise longues and let me tell you, the WWW has a wide selection of loungers and chaise longues.

Back to the cleaning part. I don't mind the dusting or window cleaning part but the carpet is a whole different story. So you have two options: 1) do the cleaning yourself or 2) you turn on your computer and open your search box one more time to find the best service for home carpet cleaning. I decided to try the second option.

I am looking for a carpet cleaner company that will provide a good and in-time service for a fair price. I will let you know when I found one.

Now that, unfortunately, both of my parents are in a nursing home, their house is no longer the hub for family gatherings. That now falls to my household; given the fact that our extended family is very active in terms of getting together. Some family members even hop on a plane for a short trip to make it to these gatherings. My parents' house could accommodate many people, even for a sleep over and it was very kid-friendly. Ours is almost to that point. We just have a few more changes to make. We've knocked down the wall between the kitchen and dinning room and living room, to make a nice big open plan. We love to cook and this way people can mill around the kitchen while we all pitch in…and the kids sneak a bit of this and that! This new floor plan, however, has brought together the disparate flooring we had in what were once 3 separate spaces. Since we had really enjoyed the Empire carpet we had in the living room, we called Empire Today back in for the job. It was quite a decision to make after seeing all the options. There were definitely a few types of flooring that would have looked great. In the end, I let my wife decide, since she was so excited about one in particular. We're looking forward to having everyone over, and my parents have said they're looking forward to just being guests and not having to do all the work of hosting anymore!
