So firstly... I'm just back from an eleven date tour of the USA & Canada with Alice Russell... Big baskets of thanks to all the people that came to the shows and everyone that was involved....... We borrowed San Fransisco's finest rhythm section "The Park" Who are normally holding the bass n' beats down behind Nino Moschella and Dorando (Ubiquity).. Also mega props to Jose James, Giant Step, Bohemian Caverns Crew and all the rest we met along the way...!

TM JUKE & THE JACK BAKER TRIO
So the TM Juke & The Jack Baker Trio band is hitting some heavy rehearsal time this week. We are preparing for our debut show at this years Big Chill Festival on Saturday night (8-8.45pm, Castle stage). Expect Go-go! funk! Batucada! Bass-madness! and much more... We have pulled in London's finest "Killer Horns" for the punches... and Andreya Triana & Kathrin deBoer on vocals!
All of the above features on the album, set for release on September the 8th on Tru Thoughts Records.

ME&YOU: MUSIC FOR BIRTHDAYS
REBTUZ RECORDS....
After the triple platinum success of Me&You's 'Floating Heavy' album, they have been asked to support Jay Z at Glastonbury, carry the Olympic Torch in London and been invited to take part in every Celebrity Reality programme that exists...they turned all of these down to work on the CD 'Music For Birthdays'. Before writing about the music, we are now going to mention and boldly highlight Amy Winehouse, Duffy, The Arctic Monkeys, Adele and Dubstep to get your interest (however they do not have anything to do with this release). In fact we know all you DJ's, journalists and radio producers get sent too much music, so let's just get to the quotes about this album:

"My album is twelve times better than this" Paris Hilton

"I love this band and I know talent when my producers point it out to me"
Jo Whiley (Presenter)

"Amazing. Talented. Superb" Simon Cowell (The inventor of music)

"Our album is three times better than this"
Girls Aloud (Kit Kat spokeswomen)

"I prefer listening to Judge Jules when planning to invade countries"
Tony Blair (Master Of The Universe)

"I love this record, it's just the best" Rusty Lee (TV Chef)

"Why can't they sing in a fake cockney accent?"
A&R's at every Major Record Label

"You're either with Me&You or against Me&You"
George Bush's Speech Writer

For those of you that have read this far we applaud your patience. None of the above is true. This CD has 21 remixes, re-edits and re-versions of tracks covering hip hop, soul, afro, breakbeat, drum and bass, bollywood, jazz and disco, all with an eye to the modern ballroom. It's a strictly limited edition promo release.

TM JUKE Vs THE JACK BAKER TRIO
After touring together continuously for the last few years me and Jack Baker (the drummer for Alice Russell Live & Bonobo Live) decided in late 07 to create an album together of rhythm driven music, spanning Batucada, Go-go, Straight Funk, Wonky Funk, Samba and everything in-between. Its now in the final stages of development, we are recording the last few trumpet and tuba lines in the next few weeks for a release in mid 08. We have enlisted the help of some of London's finest percussionist, and without a drum sample in sight its all authentic deep deep grooves!.. 1st May, 2007 (me&you)

Welcome to the official TM Juke website!

First up I've just finished a new album with Robert Luis (tru thoughts A&R man) under the guise me&you, this is a little blurb about the new project:

In 2006 Me&You were invited to play at Bestival and got together again to make a couple of DJ specials for their sets. After an amazing reaction from the crowd and some serious web pesting via MySpace and the Tru Thoughts site they decided to record an album together. The 'Floating Heavy' LP is due out in July 07 and covers bases from reggae, hip hop, jazz, calypso, afro, funk, dub step, disco, broken beat, acid house, drum and bass, and the sounds of Egypt, Bollywood and Brazil

So we have the first single coming out on May 14th which is a little 7" featuring a reggae version of the Roni Size classic "Brown Paper Bag" and a little latin, funk groover on the flip. With the album to follow in June, for more info check www.tru-thoughts.co.uk in the near future.

A couple of reactions to the single:

Dayum homie! you have killed, spanked, slapped and stone cold
put a cap in the ass on that brown paper bag joint!
That will never leave my record box!! Word!
DANNY BREAKS

The Hoop Loop with its bouncy beats and mad ass flutes and vocals will keep
every dance floor happy for time. The reggae styled version of Brown Paper
bag is inspired too. Genius!
DOM SERVINI (WAH WAH)
